The Strong and Brave Foundation recently had the incredible opportunity to partner with the New York Islanders for a special Community Night dedicated to raising awareness for pediatric cancer and sharing our vision for Briana’s House.

What made the evening truly special wasn’t just the game—it was the people.

Throughout the night, we connected with an amazing community of supporters, local business owners, families, and friends who took the time to learn about our mission and the impact we hope to create through Briana’s House. These conversations reminded us that meaningful change happens when communities come together with a shared purpose.

One of the highlights of the evening was meeting several local business leaders who expressed interest in supporting our efforts. We were especially grateful for the opportunity to be connected with the owner of a local Chick-fil-A near our community. Building relationships with businesses that share a commitment to giving back helps strengthen our ability to support families facing the unimaginable challenges that come with a childhood cancer diagnosis.

The atmosphere throughout the night was filled with laughter, friendship, and hope. Families gathered, supporters rallied around our cause, and together we raised more than $1,000 to help further our mission of supporting children and families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Events like this serve as an important reminder that while our mission is rooted in loss, it is carried forward through community. Every conversation, every donation, every shared story, and every new connection helps bring us one step closer to making Briana’s House a reality—a place where families facing medical challenges can find comfort, support, and respite during some of life’s most difficult moments.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the New York Islanders organization, our supporters, volunteers, friends, and everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the evening. Your generosity and belief in our mission continue to inspire us every day.

This event was not just about raising funds—it was about raising awareness, building relationships, and creating momentum for the future.

We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to partnering with the Islanders again for future events. Together, we can continue to make a difference for families facing pediatric cancer and help turn the vision of Briana’s House into a reality.

Thank you for standing strong and brave with us.
